Science fiction has been used as a means of envisioning radical new worlds, and has also been used by those organizing to transform. There has been a resurgence of science fiction that centers marginalized voices, that sees the intersections use of radical sci fi or visionary fiction to explore social justice issues through a brief presentation. Participants will engage of identity, of gender, race, class, sexual identity, nationality age, ability, power. This workshop will explore the in creating stories together in small groups based on current political issues, and then sharing these visionary stories.
